NEG. SUONARE LE PAUSE
The exhibition NEG Paying the Pauses centers around the NEG, a “pause detector”, a musical instrument patented by conceptual artist Vincenzo Agnetti in 1970 and recently reconstructed to be played by contemporary musicians. Agnetti worked intensely on the concept of negative, which is translated into symmetry and color as the central element of the visual identity. An essential visual suggestion of opposite perspectives is taken directly from the facade of the Esprit Nouveau, the pavilion designed by Le Corbusier that hosts the exhibition.
