TECHNOSCAPE [MAXXI]
The exhibition explores the relationship between structural engineering, both vernacular and avant-garde, and the impact of technology on our living spaces. It takes place in the Zaha Hadid building at MAXXI in Rome, encouraging a dialogue between the works on display and the gallery space. The flowing walls created in the gallery are followed by a continuous set of parallel lines reproducing the elemental modularity in 20th-century structural engineering. Changing thicknesses in these lines produce a floating type marking the construction typologies, while individual descending strokes accent each case study.
