ARTISSIMA 2020
In 2020 Artissima Contemporary Art Fair defined its curatorial theme as “Frenetic stillness” condensing the feeling generated in the unintended pause of everyday life. We worked visually to simultaneously look forward and look back in time; we imagined and remembered fragments of actions. As computer vision controlled movements and spaces during the Covid era, we used its tools and aesthetics as a form of escapism. These identified memories and imaginaries are presented and overlaid on barren landscapes with an undefined sense of time.
